2 oz Sake
1 oz vanilla bean syrup
1 oz lemon juice
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake, strain into a bucket glass over ice or up, depending on your mood.
This drink is so simple and just a delight.
Pro tip: the magic is in the vanilla bean syrup, here's the recipe:
1 cup raw sugar
1 cup water
3 vanilla beans, split and seeds scraped
Add water and vanilla beans and seeds to a small saucepan over medium heat, bring to a very low boil before adding the sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved and the vanilla seeds have speckled the syrup - it's SO so beautiful. Let cool, bottle up with the beans too!
This drink was one that I would make at one of the first bartending jobs I ever had in Portland, Oregon at the Brazen Bean. Ah so nostalgic and would have been perfect for Acre too!
