The avocado leaf has been used in Mesoamerican cuisine for its medicinal value for centuries. It is known for having antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties in addition to being immune boosting and good for digestion. It is a prominent Oaxacan flavor used in black beans, tamales and rich sauces and it makes a killer cocktail ingredient. Try it in the Messerole Sprtiz!
